A documentary on Cahersiveen's Donie O’Sullivan will air tonight on RTE one @9.30
Donie made headlines this time last year and was trending on Twitter with his calm reporting during the Capitol Hill riots in Washington D.C.
In the midst of the madness, Donie shared live updates from outside the Capitol building, which won him a lot of fans on social media.
It also goes behind the scenes with Donie to see what happens next as he explores the rise of QAnon, extreme right-wing militias and the Trump presidency.
Donie began his career as a journalist with Storyful before moving to CNN, where he has worked for the past six years.
He was nominated for an Emmy last year for his story on military reservist Maatje Benassi's role at the centre of a patient-zero conspiracy theory.
Donie will also talk about his own personal life and his mental health struggles in the film, while his colleagues, family and friends will speak about what drives him.
